2010 Chassis Certification Seminars
February 1, 2010
One of the first signs of a new racing season’s approach is notification of chassis certification, and here it is. The first of the 2010 chassis certification seminars will take place on February 20-21 at CRT Performance in Norwalk, Ohio. You will need to schedule an appointment for one of those two days, and you can do that by calling Nettie at the Summit Motorsports Park offices, 419-668-5555. The fee for a chassis inspection is $150.00. It’s wise to get this out of the way before the season begins, so call Nettie and get the ball rolling. We’re including some guidelines for certifications to help you out.
Guidelines for vehicle preparation with respect to chassis certification.
This information has been prepared with chassis ‘seminars’ in mind. It also should be considered during any chassis inspection that you may require.
This information is provided to assist you, and your chassis inspector, in order to accomplish your chassis certification in a timely manner. Additional components may need to be removed from your vehicle, aside from those noted below, in order to perform an adequate inspection.
At this time, safety equipment, such as seat belts, transmission shields, etc., are not a part of the chassis inspection process. Although advice on these items is available to you during the chassis inspection, you are not required to bring a ‘race ready’ vehicle to the inspection site. A bare chassis may be inspected, as well as a complete vehicle.
